Fate

Ivar Puura

She took me to the summer rain
And soon the leaves were falling
I felt the touch of endeless chain
By glistening ice bells calling

And then I dreamed I was a boy
Who dreamed to be a man
To choose between whatever toys
And playgrounds under ban

She took me to the evening train
To cach the dreams I’d missed
I felt the touch of summer rain
As if I had been kissed

She left me sitting in my own
Enlightened by her glance
So similar to something known
From childhood by one chance

The suddenly I saw the light
Reflecting from the past
Some memories so clear and bright
I recognized at last

Her looking to her crystal ball
And reading future texsts
For me just waiting for her call
To learn what happens next

Se took me to the summer rain
And soon the leaves were falling
I felt the touch of endeless chain
By glistening ice bells calling
